Qυеѕtіοn bу jessabelle: tips fοr a girl going camping?
Ok, I’m going tο camp аt Lake Tahoe pretty soon, аnԁ I’ve bееn camping οnƖу once before. I heard thеrе аrе nο mosquitos, аnԁ wе′re mostly waterskiing fοr аƖmοѕt thе whole week. I need hеƖр οn maybe ѕοmе easy ways οf keeping mу hair back whіƖе camping, аnԁ maybe ѕοmе advice οn whаt tο wear. I hаνе a ton οf tank tops аnԁ shorts, bυt I know I саn’t ALWAYs wear thаt fοr thе whole trip. I аƖѕο need tο find ѕοmе way tο keep mу hair аnԁ skin ok іn thе woods. (Thеrе аrе ɡοοԁ showers, οr ѕο I’m tοƖԁ.)
I need tο know whаt I ѕhουƖԁ bring, аnԁ whаt I shouldn’t.
bу thе way, nope, NO RV. јυѕt a ɡοοԁ ol tent.

Whаt ԁο уου thіnk? Anѕwеr below!
well from the sounds of it its a improved campground so youll have most ur ammenties so hygine wise just pack whut u use (nuthing chick smelly though) and were good sturdy cloths denim kacki tanktops and such should b fine for watersking but u might want sumthing rugged and long sleeved if u go off in the buch so as not to get cut up by branches. a few wet wipes also would behoove u and anything with deet in it should take care of bugs
Although it might nice and sunny during the day, the temperatures could drop at night. I would definitely bring a variety of layers for clothing. Cotton becomes useless when it gets wet and takes forever to dry so opt for a fleece jacket or wool sweater, wool socks and long pants for extra warmth. You might also want some long underwear to sleep in. Don’t forget rain gear! A rain poncho from Wal-mart will work if you don’t want to spend tons of money.
As far as keeping your hair back, a hat always works. You can also tie it back with a bandanna.
If there are modern shower and bathroom facilities, you can bring whatever you use for your skin and hair. If not, you need to consider a biodegradable soap such as Dr. Bronner’s castile soap available at outdoor stores. Also, alcohol-based hand sanitizers are useful.
Have fun!
im a girl too and i go campin alll the time and loove it! but hey just suck it up. campin is loads of funn!!!!!
No need to worry Lake Tahoe is not really camping. It is like city time so do as you normally do. I bet your are even bringing the R.V.
Most of the comment so far will do you good.
Enjoy yourself and do not be careless with matches as it is very dry and we already had too many fires up there this year.
Well, I live right outside of Tahoe and if you like the outdoors at all then Tahoe will be a blast. Use hair rubber bands and if there are shower at all you will be fine. Bring small containers of shampoo and conditioner that way you don’t have to lug arounf the bigger ones. Sunscreen is a must, it will keep you skin moistened and it is really easy to burn up in Tahoe because of the elevation. As far as clothes go, the nights get pretty chilly up there somethimes so bring a light jacket and jeans as well. Other than that the days are perfect so shorts and a tank would be good. I would still bring bug repelant too. The best stuff out there is Repel Lemon and Eucalyptus Oil. It smells ok and has no cancer causing deet.
1. Answer: Hair
Use whatever you normally use, elastic hair bands (goody?), clips, bandanna.
2. Shower/washing
Unless the showers connect to a sewer system its a good idea to use Bio-degradable, Dr. Bronners is a must have, you can find the peppermint (this scent works to best for getting odors off your skin and hair..ie..woodsmoke/fish) in most outdoors stores, some lager chain stores have Dr. Bronners in their organics section, otherwise try Wholefoods or a smaller store. Also Dr. Bronners works for everything, hair, skin, dishes, and clothes…
3. Clothing: If you don’t have a lot of space stick to 3-5 tops (tanks/tee’s), two pairs of shorts and two pairs of long pants, one sweatshirt, comfy shoes, 1 pr. sandals (for beach/shower). If you have a lot of space, then the sky is the limit, just make sure you have a couple of outfits that won’t devastate you to get dirty/ruin.
GOOD LUCK!
